Real-time reporting and e-invoicing consultation results
Tungsten Automation recently communicated that Ireland was exploring options for both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Business (B2G) e-invoicing.
The results of the consultation on modernising the fiscal process, and specifically concerning its operation on VAT, were published in June 2024, and are considered positive for future automation of the VAT process.
The consultation acknowledges the significance of close dialogue with businesses and stakeholders to harness solutions that are efficient, practical and customer friendly.
The impact of the VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) did not go unnoticed in the consultation.
Currently, the discourse around Ireland’s e-invoicing and e-reporting plans are relatively generic and at a high-level only. Extensive specific detail is expected to be provided via further public consultations in the future.
